A great autumn day for a ride, and our stop at Chimney Corner is always a destination. Debbie, your sweet personality influences all that you do, and it was a joy to see you today. Also, the Old Stone Manor joins other Chimney Corner picks to warm up our home. God bless you and Jim as your approach the holiday season.

I just love going to Ansted, my home away from home with friends and family. Last visit I got to help Jim with a luncheon and it was a blessing to be able to spend time with him and the friends that were there. See ya soon, Cindy

We recently took a daytrip to Anstead to visit Hawks Nest. I've been doing this in the fall for as long as I can remember...and I ain't no spring chicken !! I've always loved this house, and we always pull to the side of the road to look at it. So happy to hear it is open and running tours. Thank you for the sign advertising your website...I never would have known about the history of this beautiful home, had it not been for that! And thank you for the restoration of this beautiful historical house !

I remember staying here in the 1960s, when I drove my Great Uncle John Vawter, from Upstate NY, back to WV, to visit his remaining family. I had the pleasure of staying with Miss Julia, and one of Uncle John's brothers. I am so pleased that the house has been restored and is a national treasure! Hopefully, I can return at some point, to visit you all again.
